• To complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®), you will need a created FSA ID to sign electronically.
  Save Time! Create your FSA ID prior to the workshop. FAFSA contributors (your spouse, your parent, or your parent’s spouse) may be required on your FAFSA and may need their own FSA ID prior to FAFSA submission. Learn more about contributors here.

• Your Social Security Number
• Your Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
• Your federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned. (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.)
  - For 2025-2026 FAFSA (through Spring/Summer 2026) – use 2023 tax year documents.
  - For 2026-2027 FAFSA (beginning Fall 2026) – use 2024 tax year documents
• Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
• Records of untaxed income (if applicable)  
  
  If you are a dependent student, generally somebody who is under the age of 24, then you will also need most of the above information for your parent(s).
